Product Description

Oak Wood Grain Vinyl Wrap is a decorative material that simulates the texture and feel of natural oak. It achieves a highly simulated wood grain effect through a polymer PVC substrate and printing process. Its core value lies in providing a low-cost, environmentally friendly and durable alternative, which is suitable for automotive modification, furniture renovation, architectural decoration and other fields, and meets the dual needs of modern design for natural texture and industrial efficiency.

Technical characteristics

Highly simulated oak texture

Using micro-embossing technology and multi-layer printing technology, the texture clarity of the oak grain film reaches 0.1mm level, and the texture layers such as straight grain and mountain grain are rich. The visual effect is more than 95% similar to natural oak.

Environmental protection and durability

The substrate layer has passed the EU REACH certification, and the VOC release is ≤0.05mg/m³, which meets environmental protection standards. The surface UV coating can resist ultraviolet radiation. After 1000 hours of QUV accelerated aging test (wavelength 340nm, 60℃), the color difference ΔE≤1.5, and the service life can reach 6-8 years (indoor environment).

Super strong adhesion and removability

The back adhesive layer adopts air guide groove technology, with an initial adhesion of 12N/25mm, which increases to 25N/25mm after 72 hours. It supports tearing and replacing, and the residual glue amount is ≤0.1mg/cm².

Weather resistance and flexibility

The film thickness is 0.18mm, and the minimum bending radius is 50 times the film thickness (such as a 0.18mm film layer can be bent to a radius of 9mm), supporting seamless bonding of curved surfaces and yin and yang corners. After 3 years of outdoor use, the color fastness still reaches level 4.5 (GB/T 1766-2008), and the temperature resistance range is -40℃ to 120℃.

Antibacterial and easy to clean

Silver ion antibacterial agent is added, and the antibacterial rate of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus reaches 99.9%. The surface friction coefficient is ≤0.25, and oil stains and handwriting can be easily wiped off with neutral detergent, and the cleaning efficiency is 30% higher than that of traditional coatings.

Application scenarios

Car modification and renovation

A modified car case uses 50cm×500cm oak grain film, and completes the filming of the entire car (including hood and door) in a single day, which is 5 times more efficient than solid wood. The scratch resistance of the film layer is ≥3H (pencil hardness), which can resist the impact of small stones in daily use.

Furniture surface veneer

A certain office furniture brand uses oak grain PVC film, with a surface hardness of 2H and abrasion resistance of ≥5000 turns (Taber 5135 standard), which is suitable for high-frequency use scenarios (such as conference room tables and chairs). The film layer can be customized with matte and high gloss effects to meet different design requirements.

Building decoration upgrade

A hotel lobby uses 1.22m×50m oak grain film, and completes the renovation of 200㎡ wall in 2 days, and the construction cost is 60% lower than that of solid wood. The flame retardant grade of the film layer reaches B1 (GB8624-2012), which is suitable for decoration in public places.

Ship interior renovation

The interior of a yacht uses weather-resistant oak grain film. After 2 years of use in seawater salt spray environment, the film layer has no corrosion and no peeling. The light transmittance of the film layer is ≤5%, which effectively protects the internal privacy and reduces the energy consumption of air conditioning by 12%.

Digital design and packaging

A high-end wine packaging box uses oak grain texture paper. The surface touch simulates the warm texture of natural oak, which enhances the added value of the product. The film layer has a folding resistance of ≥10,000 times (MIT standard), which is suitable for complex structure packaging.

Cleaning and maintenance guide

Daily cleaning

Remove surface dust with a soft brush to avoid scratches with hard tools.

Dilute neutral detergent (pH 6-8) with water at 1:50 and wipe gently with a sponge.

Stubborn stains (such as ink) can be treated locally with isopropyl alcohol and fully cleaned after testing.

Deep maintenance

Check the edge warping every quarter and use a hot air gun (60℃) to assist in pressing.

Avoid using cleaners containing solvents or abrasives to prevent damage to the UV coating.

When exposed to oil smoke for a long time, add deep cleaning once a month.

Repair and replacement

Small area damage can be repaired with the same color film, and the edge alignment error is ≤0.5mm.

When replacing, it is necessary to heat to 80℃ to soften the backing glue to avoid residual glue stains on the substrate.

FAQs

Q: How does the life of oak grain film compare with natural oak?

A: In indoor environments, the life of oak grain film can reach 6-8 years, and natural oak is 5-7 years; in outdoor environments, the life of film is 3-5 years, and natural oak is 1-2 years.

Q: What are the requirements for the substrate during construction?

A: The substrate flatness is ≤2mm/2m, the moisture content is ≤8%, and it needs to be polished with sandpaper (180 mesh) and cleaned until there is no oil stain.

Q: How to solve the problem of film bubbles?

A: Use a needle to puncture the edge of the bubble, squeeze out the air and flatten it with a scraper to avoid directly piercing the membrane surface.

Q: Does it support curved surface construction?

A: Yes, the minimum bending radius is 50 times the thickness of the membrane layer (for example, a 0.18mm membrane layer can be bent to a radius of 9mm).

Q: What is the temperature resistance range?

A: Short-term temperature resistance -40℃ to 120℃, long-term temperature resistance -20℃ to 80℃.

Q: Will the adhesive corrode the substrate?

A: The pH value of the adhesive is neutral (6.5-7.5), and it has passed the 240-hour salt spray test and is non-corrosive to metal and wood.
